The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international educational exchange initiative, aimed at fostering mutual understanding between the people of the United States and those of Malaysia. In Malaysia, the program is administered by the Malaysian-American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE) and has been advancing academic and cultural exchange since 1963.
Since its inception, over 1,000 American citizens have come to Malaysia as Fulbright grantees, serving as scholars, researchers, English Teaching Assistants, and specialists.
These individuals contribute to teaching, research, and community engagement across a wide range of disciplines while gaining firsthand experience in Malaysia’s rich cultural, ethnic, and ecological landscape.
